The Beginning of a Dream is the first US brand of bridal and evening wear to incorporate haute couture elements into its collections. It was founded by South Korea designer Park Yeon-ryeon, who built a family business that blends rich experience and craftsmanship with a fresh vision of fashion and contemporary trends.

Park Yeon-ryeon
She studied fashion design, haute couture, and ’80s retro fashion design, and has worked as a fashion model. She graduated from Seoul National University with a major in fashion design and luxury brand management. While studying at Parsons School of Design, she immersed herself in the cultural atmosphere of haute couture, gaining a deep understanding of the essence of fashion art and brand identity. After graduation, she moved to Los Angeles and founded the independent fashion brand studio “The Beginning of a Dream.” she focuses on the creative design and brand development of high-end women’s wear, striving to perfectly blend elegance and refinement with modern strength.

In her approach, design is not mere decoration, but a decision-making process; it is not a jumble of inspirations, but a precise mastery of structure and rhythm. She is almost obsessive about details, yet always maintains a restrained, holistic perspective—because she understands that truly exquisite design speaks for itself. Rationality, aesthetics, and self-discipline coexist in harmony. This is her design philosophy, and it is how she leads her team to continuous improvement.
